Content Authenticity Initiative Cai

The Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) is an initiative led by Adobe focused on promoting the adoption of secure Content Provenance standards to combat misinformation and increase trust in digital media. It works closely with the C2PA Coalition to develop and implement the C2PA Content Credentials standard.

Goals

  • Promote Adoption: Encourage widespread use of provenance standards like C2PA across software tools, platforms, and hardware.
  • Provide Tools & Resources: Offer SDKs, open-source tools, and educational materials to help developers and creators implement content credentials.
  • Build Ecosystem: Foster collaboration between technology providers, media outlets, and platforms to create an end-to-end system for content authenticity.

Key Activities

  • Developing and maintaining open-source tools and libraries for C2PA integration.
  • Integrating Content Credentials features directly into Adobe creative tools (e.g., Photoshop, Lightroom).
  • Advocating for the importance of digital provenance and content authenticity.
