Building what could not have existed two years ago.

Far Horizons is a product studio at the frontier of emerging technology. We build AI-native products -- not bolt AI onto legacy platforms. We follow the fast water: move where emerging capability meets unmet need, build there, move on when the water slows.

Founded by Luke Chadwick. 25+ years shipping emerging tech. Built the world's first VR property portal. Now building the AI-native one.

What we're building

Two products. Both born from real problems. Both impossible without the capabilities that exist today.

Product
AI-Native Property Portal

Not bolting AI features onto a legacy platform. Building from scratch with AI at the foundation.

Conversational search

Describe what you want. The system understands context, intent, and tradeoffs -- not just keywords.

Intelligent matching

Properties matched to people based on what actually matters to them, not just bedroom count and postcode.

Agent-driven workflows

Automated agents handling the repetitive work that currently burns hours of agent and buyer time.

Real estate is the testbed. The architecture is designed to deploy anywhere.

Product
Multi-Agent Development Tooling

A system where AI agents collaborate on codebases with human oversight. Built because we needed it.

LLM-based priority arbitration

When multiple agents want to change the same code, the system decides who goes first -- and why.

Merge queue coordination

Multiple AI coding agents shipping to the same repo without breaking each other. Lint, build, test, review, merge -- automated.

Human oversight at the right level

Agents work autonomously on implementation. Humans review what matters. The ratio flips from "human writes, AI reviews" to "AI writes, human steers."

The problem is not getting one AI to write code. It is getting several of them to ship together without breaking everything.

Follow the fast water

I go where emerging capability meets unmet need, and I build there.

In 2014, I co-founded REALABS inside REA Group and built the world's first VR property portal. We shipped 3D scanning and virtual reality property tours in Australian real estate before the industry knew what to do with them. We partnered with Matterport, Valve, and Google. Proved 3D tours drove 95% more buyer enquiries.

I have been writing code for 25 years. I have built and led teams, but I have never been the kind of leader who stops writing code. Across startups, public companies, and my own company, the pattern has always been the same: find the frontier, ship something real, move on when the water slows down.

VR in 2014. AR in 2016. LLMs in 2022. AI-native products now. The frontier keeps moving. So do I.

The pattern

2014 -- REALABS

Co-founded REA Group's innovation lab. 3D scanning, VR property tours, AR apps. Partnered with Matterport, Valve, Google. Proved 3D tours drove 95% more buyer enquiries.

2016 -- VR property portal

Built the world's first VR property portal for Google Daydream. Proved VR property search was viable.

2019 -- AR rescue

Rebuilt a Unity-based AR capture pipeline when the vendor failed mid-contract. Shipped in 4 months.

2022 -- LLMs

Embedded with engineering teams at Scout24, AutoScout24, LuxuryEscapes to ship production AI systems. Code, not slide decks.

Now -- building products

An AI-native property portal and multi-agent dev tooling. The frontier moved. So did I.

Track record

The pattern repeats: find the frontier, build something real, ship it. Here is what that looks like over 25 years.

2014-2017

REALABS at REA Group

Problem: Real estate industry sceptical that 3D tours would drive actual buyer engagement

Solution: Built Matterport partnership, rolled out camera lending program, measured everything

95% more buyer enquiries, 140% more phone reveals on listings with tours

2016-2017

realestateVR

Problem: No way to browse property listings in VR -- only individual tour links

Solution: Built world's first VR property portal for Google Daydream with Matterport integration

Shipped to market, proved VR property search was viable

2019

Automotive company

Problem: AR capture app vendor failed mid-contract, millions at stake

Solution: Rebuilt Unity-based Android/iOS capture pipeline from scratch

Shipped in 4 months, contract rescued

2022-2025

Scout24 / AutoScout24 / Enterprise teams

Problem: Engineering teams wanted to ship LLMs but needed experienced hands

Solution: Embedded with teams to build RAG pipelines, LLM integrations, and production AI systems

Production systems running across EU, APAC, US

We also help teams ship AI

Alongside our products, we do embedded consulting with engineering teams. Code, not slide decks. We build production AI systems together, and leave when the team can run them without us.

Embedded residencies

4-6 weeks embedded with your engineering team. We build production AI systems together -- RAG pipelines, LLM integrations, agent workflows. The team owns it when we leave.

Architecture and advisory

AI adoption strategy, system architecture, production LLM systems. Ongoing advisory for teams that need a technical partner who has shipped this before.

Acting CTO

For startups and scale-ups that need senior technical leadership. Architecture decisions, team building, shipping cadence. Hands-on, not advisory-only.
